Foraging for Food - August 2018 - Read more...

There is nothing life self sufficiency than a bit of good old foraging! Forget picking mushrooms and the odd nettle, thanks to another scrumptious food assignment... I can now spot water mint at ten spaces (square roots), know to avoid foxgloves and can cook up a treat with pine needles. James Wood from Totally Wild UK guided us through the have's and the [do not touch or you will die varieties] of the outdoors. Our hard work was rewarded with a deliciously cooked meal, complete with our foraged items, from the talented team Fischers at Baslow Hall. Neil Fischer was charming company and the host of international journalists who shared the dinner table headed up an interesting mix of conversations.  This was the kind of working lunch I could get used to...check out my latest feature...
